Everything you want in a show
Christopher Cross did not disappoint. This was yet another show that my wife and I figured we would never get the opportunity to see, so perhaps our expectations were unreasonably high. Even still, every one of them was met if not exceeded. Yes, Christopher Cross has been performing pretty much as long as I’ve been alive and I’m 47, so there were a couple of songs that probably weren’t exactly as you would remember them, but nothing was less than what I would consider excellent. I learned things about the man that I never knew even though I consider myself a tremendous fan of his. I had no idea that he could absolutely shred on the guitar the way that he can. I was also very pleased to learn of his tremendous personality and sense of humor. Most artists, if they are able to sell tickets to a show at all, can convey the performance part with some degree of skill. It is the select few that are able to do that as well as truly connect with their audience. Christopher Cross did both masterfully. The only regret I had leaving that show that night was that I hadn’t had the opportunity to see him before.
